The Cherry Cordial Fig Variety was discovered growing in Santa Barbra, California a few years ago, and appears to have Ficus Palmata genetics aka Punjab Fig or Wild Himalayan Fig. This fig variety is likely a Ficus Palmata or Ficus Palmata / Ficus Carica hybrid. The figs have a sweet berry flavor with a distinctive tanginess to them. This fig variety is also extremely vigorous and fast growing. We can not confirm if this fig variety is self fertile, aka a common fig, or if it requires the fig wasp pollination to produce ripe figs becuase we are in an area with the fig wasps. However, we read a post on the OurFigs forum from a member in Missouri who says that he has ripened several Cherry Cordial figs in his location. Fig trees are easy to grow from cuttings. We use the "fig pop" rooting method to root fig cuttings, and have around 80%-90% success rate without using any rooting hormone. Please do an online search for "fig pop method" to find instructions for how to root fig cuttings. This listing is for 2 Cuttings for rooting or grafting.

They were awesome. I was tracking my cuttings and the delivery went sideways. Instantly the members at FigFair were so “fair with figs” they resent a shipment to me. The second one got to me just fine. They are healthily cuttings and I’m excited to root them. They were quick to communicate and reply via email. They are awesome to work with!

Best interaction I have ever had!!

Cuttings arrived well packaged and in perfect condition. Seller included an extra cutting (3 instead of 2) for each variety and kindly answered basic growing questions I had in detail! I am SO grateful as this is my first attempt at rooting cuttings and hopefully I can get at least one of each to take. If I can find more room I would order more cuttings from this seller in a heartbeat.

Easy to Root

Fig trees are east to grow from cuttings. We use the "Fig-Pop" rooting method to root fig cuttings, and have around 80-90% success rate without using any rooting hormone. We include one fig-pop bag with every order. Simply fill the bag half full with damp potting soil, stick in the fig cutting, fold the top plastic over, and wait 3-4 weeks for the fig cutting to grow roots.
