Ficus Palmata N1 is a unique variety of fig with beautiful heart shaped leaves and yellow/green figs with sweet jammy red interior. Ficus Palmata is an edible variety of fig also called Punjab figs or Wild Himalayan figs. This variety is vigorous and produces delicious figs. This listing is for 50 Fig Seeds. Our fig farm is in a location with the fig wasps, and our figs are pollinated by the fig wasps. So, we are uncertain as to which male fig or caprifig is the father fig of our seeds. Fig trees are easy to grow from seeds. Fig trees grown from seed usually produce figs within 2-3 years. While figs from fig trees grown from seed are not identical to the mother fig, they are usually very similar. For instance, Improved Celest and LSU Tiger Fig are seedlings of Celeste fig, and both varieties produce figs that are similar to Celeste figs.

Germination Instructions: Step 1: Soak seeds in a glass of water for 2-3 days. Step 2: Fill a planter with potting soil. Step 3: Pour the water and seeds on top of the potting soil in your planter. Step 4: Place the planter in shady location that receives 1-2 hours of direct sunlight per day. Fig seeds need a little direct sunlight to germinate, but not too much. Step 5: Lightly water them once a day. In 2-3 weeks the seeds should start to germinate.

Unfortunately the seeds that you sent never got past Portland, OR forwarding Agency. I battled for a month to get them redirected across the road to USPS who WOULD on send to New Zealand, however the 'storage' time limit was exceeded. Lesson learnt. When I can get some more seeds I need to give a USPS centre address that I have pre paid redirection to New Zealand.organised.

Easy to Root

Fig trees are east to grow from cuttings. We use the "Fig-Pop" rooting method to root fig cuttings, and have around 80-90% success rate without using any rooting hormone. We include one fig-pop bag with every order. Simply fill the bag half full with damp potting soil, stick in the fig cutting, fold the top plastic over, and wait 3-4 weeks for the fig cutting to grow roots.
